not fooled so easily

Yesterday as I was walking along the Seine river I had three different people try to play the same con on me.  Here's how it works.  The scammer has a gold colored ring in his hand, when someone walks by he pretends to find it on the ground.  He then offers it to the person walking by.  Thinking that the ring is probably worth a lot, the victim takes it.  Then the scammer asks for a few euros for his generosity.  Most people don't mind paying a few euros for an expensive gold ring so they pay it and get the ring.  What they don't know is that they just payed five euros for a shiny peace of cheap metal.

Geometry

As much as I hate math, I love using geometry in my photos.

Old Guys

I finally got enough courage to start taking candid street portraits.  I thought I'de start off taking portraits of old guys because they seem less likely to hurt me.  People actually didn't mind getting their picture taken as much as I thought they would, except this one guy that put his hand infront of my lens.  This is a really good free ebook on street photography by the way, it sort if inspired me to be more brave.
